We run a range of clinics here at Rise Park Surgery.

This clinic is run by your chosen GP and midwives. If you become pregnant, you will be given a ‘booking appointment’ at which the midwife will ask you a few questions and carry out some general health checks. You will be seen regularly throughout your pregnancy either at the practice, midwifery clinic, local hospital or a combination of all three.
A Baby & Toddler Clinic is held on Thursdays between 2.00pm – 3.30pm. All new babies are invited for regular check-ups from six weeks old.
Some minor operations can be done in our treatment room. Please discuss this with your doctor who will then arrange for you to be given an appointment.
Led by our specialist nursing team, this clinic offers a full diabetic check including advice on diet and diabetic self care.

Tuesday 3.30pm to 6.60pm Run by New Leaf. This clinic gives advice and support to patients trying to give up smoking. Advice can also be obtained from our nurses. Self referrals to New Leaf can be made through our reception staff.
Jane, Deborah, Alex and Grace are available for results of tests undertaken. Please telephone the results line on (0115) 973 9150 between 11.00am and 3.00pm.
Please note that test results can only be given to the patient unless a prior agreement is in place and we are aware of this.
Phlebotomy Service at Rise Park Surgery
If your GP or Nurse has requested that you need to have a blood test or you routinely have bloods taken as part of ongoing monitoring of a chronic condition (e.g. diabetes) you are now able to attend one of our clinics.
The clinics are as follows:-
Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 8.30am – 11.00am.
Thursday between 7.00am - 11.00am.

Please ensure that you bring your pathology form with you and report to reception on arrival.
Please note that if you do not have the pathology form with you we will be unable to take your blood.
There are many services you can access without seeing your GP, such as, podiatry, physiotherapy, counselling, bereavement support.
